You may not have known it but May is National Hamburger Month. And in honor of this special, celebratory affair we are hosting our first ever Burger Royale, pitting DoorDash’s 24 regions against one another to prove which kingdom of the land loves burgers most.
Here’s how it works. You’ll earn one point for your city on any order that has one or more burgers, now through May 24. You’ll also earn $1 in DoorDash credits for every order that contains one or more burgers, today through May 7. Keep an eye on your inbox and social media for additional bonus-credit periods throughout the month. Every Friday we will tally all your credits and all the city points so you can keep track of the score.
At the end of the promo the top 100 burger fiends in the city with the highest percentage of burger orders will get some cool gear. And at the end of the Royale the “chompionship” city will be crowned victorious with a cool surprise on the DoorDash site. Dashers in the winning city will get some sweet swag and of course everyone gets bragging rights for all eternity.
So eat your Meaties, build out your burger roster, and chow down for the crown. Let the #DoorDashBurgerROYALE commence!
The fine print:
MEATY DEETS: Earn $1 in credits for every order placed with 1 or more burger items in it. Credits can be earned from 5/3/16-5/7/16 and on select surprise dates throughout the month of May. Credits earned will be added to your account by 11:59PM PT on Friday of each week (5/6, 5/13, 5/20, 5/27). You will receive a recap of your credits on Saturday of each week (5/7, 5/14, 5/21 and 5/28) with details on your total earnings. Credits may expire. Credits are valid only on orders placed with DoorDash. Credits are not transferrable and are not valid for cash. No adjustments on previous purchases.
WINNING CITY PRIZES: Participation in Annual Burger Royale competition ends Tuesday, May 24, 2016. The winning city and top 100 participants within that city will be announced Saturday, May 28, 2016. Winning city will be evaluated on burgers ordered “per DoorDash capita” (total points based on the size of the market).
