You think you’ve found your always and forever, and out of that blissful love, decide to mark that love with a tattoo of your beloved’s name or a symbol inked into your body. So what do you do when that fairytale doesn’t exactly pan out? Regardless of why it ended, hearts move on, but ink? Not so much.
Luckily, we know that relationships can be fleeting, but food love is forever. This morning we announced a Valentine’s Day collaboration and contest, #FoodIsForever, in partnership with famed Los Angeles tattoo artist Mister Cartoon (Mark Machado).
In a recent survey commissioned by DoorDash*, over 63% of tattooed Americans regret getting a tattoo of/with an ex, and of these, over 25% of tattooed Americans would like to get it covered up with another tattoo. In time for Valentine’s Day, we’re on a mission to help you commemorate a love that lasts, your love of food! We will be helping a group of lucky winners cover up their ex’s name with a tattoo of their favorite food (and juiciest relationship) with Mister Cartoon’s help!
Here’s how it works:
- Three lucky winners will be flown to LA to get their ex’s name tattoo covered up with a tattoo of their favorite food. Celebrity tattoo artist, Mister Cartoon has created custom sketches and will be doing all of the foodie inkings on February 3rd. The contest will run from 1/27–1/31, winners will be notified via a reply or DM. To enter post a photo of your ex tattoo on Twitter using #FoodIsForever, or submit your photo here.
- Additionally, during Valentine’s Day week, from 2/7/2020–2/14/2020, the first 100 people who post a photo of their own food tattoos on Twitter using #FoodIsForever will receive a complimentary Valentine’s Day Dinner! ($25 credit). Relationships can be fleeting, food love is forever.

Join the likes of Beyoncé, Travis Scott, Justin Timberlake, and Snoop Dogg, who are all inked by Mister Cartoon himself and remember this coming Valentine’s Day that food love is truly forever.
