Last week we lunched – errr, launched – our fresh app update with new features and a refined design. To celebrate the new release, here are nine tips and tricks to help you get the most out of the newest version of DoorDash.
1. Get Inspired
The new homepage is homemade to whet your appetite and woo your cravings. Sit back and take it all in as you get inspired to find your perfect dish.
2. The Craving: Filter Your Food
If you don’t have a specific restaurant in mind, you can now find the perfect food for your mood. Use our new cuisine icons for shortcuts to Sushi, Sandwiches, Salads or something you hadn’t even thought about.
3. Take the Hunt
Our powerful new search does the scouring, while you do the devouring. Just start typing in a restaurant, cuisine, or even a specific dish and behold the options as they unfold before you, automatically and intuitively. It kinda, almost reads your mind.
4. Sort by What Matters
Once you search, you can sort by the place’s overall “Delight” score, the lowest Price, or the fastest Speed of delivery. You know what’s most important to you and your stomach so sort by your priorities.
5. Stop Taking Orders
Simply hit the Create Group Order icon on any menu to send out a unique link to your team. They can add their order to your cart and you can check out at once to get everybody fed.
6. Order into the Future
Plan ahead for bigger orders by hitting the “When” icon at the top of the website. Simply set the delivery date and time and get back to being the perfect planner and host. You can always come back and change the order in the meantime.
7. Sort by Delight
Our new “Delight” score ranks and suggests places by overall popularity, delivery experience, and a number of other factors. Whether you want to discover a new local flavor or see how your favorite place stacks up in the community, we’ll deliver that insight at the speed of Delight.
8. Dial-In Your Location
You can dial-in your exact location if it looks off. At checkout, hit “edit” next to your delivery address, then select “Tweak Pin Location” and drag the pin to the exact spot where you want your order delivered.
9. Everything at Once
If you don’t want to use search or sort filters, hit “View All” next to any of the cuisine categories and see them all at a glance.
