Not only is Austin known for its music and rich culture – it’s also home to one of the most intriguing food scenes in the country. Now, DoorDash is helping to keep Austin weird too. Starting today, hundreds of Austin’s favorite local and national restaurants will be delivering with DoorDash.
At launch, DoorDash will be available to Austinites from South Congress to the Domain, East Austin to Tarrytown, and many neighborhoods in between – with even more to come later this year.
Hundreds of local staples and food truck favorites will all be available in under an hour on DoorDash, including:

- Arpeggio Grill
- Pelon’s Tex-Mex
- Dock & Roll Diner
- Way South Philly
DoorDash will also be delivering from Gino’s East, an Austin fixture. Its General Manager, Josh Bergmark, told us, “Pizza is synonymous with delivery, so we’re incredibly excited to be offering our customers another easy way to get their favorite pizzas delivered. DoorDash is easy, fast, and cares about the customer experience as much as we do.”
DoorDash is thrilled to be entering our 28th market in the U.S. and Canada and our 4th market in Texas to date. Everything’s bigger here, so we’re extending our first-month promotion and giving customers free delivery for the first week after launch and $1 delivery through the end of September.
