At DoorDash, we proudly celebrate the diversity of cuisines and cultures that uniquely make up America. Today we continue that celebration through Art For Foodies, our first-ever bilingual campaign aimed to uplift Latin voices in both the restaurant and art communities.
From December 2–6, we’re partnering with local Latin artists and restaurants in Miami to bring unique art to your door, all while supporting the vibrant community that keeps Miami alive.
Here’s how it works:
Order authentic Latin dishes to own exclusive art: We’ve partnered with seven Miami-based, well-known Latin artists to celebrate their respective heritages. By ordering authentic dishes from local restaurants, customers can acquire unique local art. For example, a Peruvian restaurant will feature art from a Peruvian artist.
Here’s how: Open the DoorDash app and place orders of the featured food items at any restaurant across Miami to participate. The customer that places the most orders of the featured items will receive the associated artwork, and there’s no limit to how many times you can order! Orders must be placed from today, December 2 through Sunday, December 6 to qualify.
Featured food and participating artists:
- Empanadas–Francisca Oyhanarte, Argentina
- Ceviche–Jorge Cabieses, Perú
- Ropa Vieja–Alex Yanes, Cuba
- Arepas–Alexandra De Yavorsky, Venezuela
- Yuca Frita–Carlos Betancourt, Puerto Rico
- Tacos–Pepe Mar, Mexico
- Patacones–Frederico Uribe, Colombia
Featured restaurants: Participating restaurants include the likes of Fiorito, Cvi Che 105, La Carreta, Francisca Chicken, Bocas House, Taco Rico, My Ceviche and Mi Pueblo. We’ve provided these recommendations, but note that you can order the food item from any Miami-local restaurant that serves up the dish to qualify.
Keep track: Head to our dedicated microsite ArtForFoodies2020.com to track which dish is in the lead and how many orders have been placed for each local dish across Miami. You can also browse restaurant and artist bios to learn more about the intersection of food and art as a pillar of the Miami culture.
Claim your art: The customers that placed the most orders of delicious Latin plates will be announced the week of December 14, taking home with them unique art from talented local Latin artists, all the while supporting local businesses.
Not based in Miami? Not a problem! Those across the US residing outside of Miami can also participate by entering a national sweepstakes for a chance to win an exclusive poster signed by Miami-based Argentinian artist Francisca Oyhanarte. From December 2–6, 2020, customers can place an order with the code ‘ARTWEEK’ at checkout for a chance to win one of the exclusive prints.
