As we move into the holiday season, we’re proud to support the #BuyBlack Friday movement to encourage people across the country to support their local Black-owned businesses. With an estimated 40% of Black-owned businesses have shut down due to COVID, now is a critical time to support these businesses that serve as central parts of our communities.
In addition to ordering from Black-owned restaurants in your neighborhood, you can also experience the flavors that businesses farther afield have to offer through unique shipment offerings. Here are a few of our recommendations:
- Bludso’s Bar & Que — After five generations of perfecting a secret family recipe, Bludso’s slow-smoked meats bring Texas BBQ to the heart of Los Angeles and around the country with national delivery.
- Paunchy Elephant — Seattle’s Paunchy Elephant uses locally sourced, organic, sustainable ingredients to craft small-batch bottled teas, fruit-infused lemonades, and incredible barbecue sauce available for shipment.
- Cute as a Cupcake — Known for their Cutie Cupcakes in a Jar, the Indiana-based Cute as a Cupcake bakery uses only the finest ingredients in their decadent, handcrafted cupcakes and you can ship them across the country.

Since the launch of our initiatives to support Black-owned businesses, hundreds of Black-owned, independent restaurants across the U.S. and Canada have joined our program. We’re excited to offer $0 delivery fees* on all orders from their restaurants through the end of 2020.
