Starting today, people in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago can order delivery from their local 7-Eleven stores for all types of food, drinks, convenience items and even electronics. We’ll be adding 7-Eleven delivery in Washington, D.C., and Boston soon afterwards, and we expect to add even more cities in the months ahead. Delivery fees vary by city, but for a limited time deliveries from 7-Eleven are only $2.99.
As part of this announcement we’re also introducing “Convenience Packs,” the easiest way to order a quick set of items for common situations like watching a football game, hosting a date night, or if you’ve come down with a cold.
Today’s partnership with 7-Eleven is our first formal step in delivering beyond restaurants and an important milestone towards fulfilling our mission of empowering local economies by offering delivery across merchants and store types. Of course, convenience-store delivery is just the start and we look forward to partnering with other types of retailers in the months ahead.
